I did not update the blog as often as I should as I am tied up with my work and my final year in Uni. However that did not stopped me to go out birding over the weekend. Below is some excerpt of what I have been photographing. Otherwise please feel free to see more of my images on flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/robinsslee/

Bearded Tit

Having no success in the past in finding them apart from hearing them pinging in the reeds, last week visit to Lakenheath Fen in the morning was a surprised success. Four juvenile bearded tit showing up very well and enjoying themselves above the reeds with the sun behind us create a perfect light. Thank you Dave and Ali for spending the morning together. Still lacking of adult photos, I am looking forward to see them.

6th - 7th July Weekend

Just few updates from 2 weekends just past. Went back for more spotted flycatcher and got the shot I wanted and went to Lackford to see the KF display and got some shots too. I will go back to get more spotted flycatcher shots. Went to Dunwich for dartford warbler, saw them but too far for a good shot so a disappointed day but was treated with some nice swallows display at Minsmere NR.

Super HOT Sunday, am I dreaming?!

Super hot Sunday! 28 centigrade for the first time in 2013 and it is bloody hot. Drank 1.5L of water within 1 hour!

Sadly I am suffering from hayfever and took 3 pills (the paper says only 1 per day) and still running nose, watering and itchy eye. Gotta pop to see the doc tomorrow if condition is no better.

Today visit to Weeting is a surprise. Stone curlew (miles away due to noise from coach), spotted flycatcher, greater spotted woodpecker, treecreeper, juvenile robin, great tits and goldfinches and heard skylark singing opposite the field. Photos to follow...

Rose-coloured Starling and Common/Juvenile Starling

Had a pretty decent day out yesterday at Wells-Next-the-Sea with some rain first thing in the morning and the day gets better when the day moves on. Watching the tide goes out and in at Wells (you know how long I have spent there!) and standing all day long to watch the mega rare RCA. It was pretty distance for a small bird I only managed few decent shots. Apart from that, I met a familiar friend and 2 new friends, Mick and John. Both are professional and friendly and surprisingly travelling all around to photograph rare birds.

Mick setup his own perch (with permission of the owner's garden) hoping the RCA will perch on the man made however it was the common starling that take his place.

Apart from that I met few new friends and hoping to do birding with them soon.

Anyway, back to the dissertation!!
